I found this recording of a song I had forgotten about - a song I wrote last autumn while being touched by the deep teachings of the trees as they shed their leaves. For me this song carries an incredible tale. As I was writing it I remember thinking 'I’m such a fraud! I'm writing a song about diving into winter's darkness and I’m about to get on a plane to Hawaii!' Little did I know how deeply intelligent my soul was, and little did I know I would not board that plane and would unexpectedly have the most intensely transformative death and rebirth experience of my life that winter.

When I found this song again I was blown away to hear the words that were unknowingly predicting what was to come. This song feels close to my heart once again as this special time of year comes around... and as I look forward to resting into a snugly winter in Devon, giving thanks for each new morning that I am alive.... having said that I have learned to laugh at my plans! Who knows what will happen this winter!
